Yei Catholic Bishop on Sunday during the solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul confirmed 86 candidates at Christ the King Cathedral.
Bishop Erkulano Lodu Tombe in his homily called on the candidates to follow examples of Saints Peter and Paul who committed themselves to spread the Gospel to the whole world, Easter Radio reported.
He said following Christ means experiencing suffering and that if a Christian has not experienced suffering his or her faith in Christ is weak.
Bishop Lodu emphasized on the need to have a strong Christian family, saying ‘a strong church means a strong family life, but a poor family life causes a poor church and witness’.
He urged Christians to finish their ‘sport of faith’ through tirelessly believing and serving until the end of their lives to have everlasting life.
