Muslim brotherhood in Western Equatoria State on Wednesday gathered for one-day constitutional conference in Yambio.
State Gender Minister Foiza Dawa told Anisa Radio that it was a very important day for Muslims to come together to discuss and amend Sudan Islamic Constitution.
She said the Muslims sought advice from the ministry to amend their Constitution to suit in South Sudan situation.
Ms Dawa urged citizens to respect every religious denomination, saying everyone has the right to worship.
Participants’ representative Hussein Enoka said the conference strengthens the administration of norms and cultures of South Sudanese to promote and preserve peace.
