Altar boys and crusaders from various parishes in the Archdiocese of Juba on Sunday gathered at St Vincent de Paul’s Parish, Gumbo area to celebrate the feast of the body and blood of Christ also known as Corpus Christi.

Archdiocesan Secretary-General Fr Gabriel Assida who presided over the Eucharistic celebration, called on altar servers and crusaders to think deeply about the spiritual journey they started, Bakhita Radio reported.

He said many priests and sisters began their journey of service as altar servers and crusaders.

Fr Assida added that many leaders served at altars and crusades with humility and respect for God.

The Secretary-General advised altar boys and crusaders to follow the elders’ footsteps as the Lord calls them to serve him with humility.

Fr Assida urged the children servants to please God and live worthy lives and that God chose them to tell parents to live in peace in families and the country entirely.

The celebration brought together many Christian denominations including Juba Christian Centre and African Inland Church.
