South Sudan Apostolic Nuncio presents credentials to President Kiir

The Apostolic Nuncio to South Sudan and Kenya on Wednesday presented his credentials to the President of the Republic to grant him official visa.
 
Archbishop Charles Daniel Balvo said his visit to Juba was to submit his diplomatic documents to President Salva Kiir to officially confirm him as Apostolic Nuncio to South Sudan, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
Archbishop Daniel said Pope Francis is very concerned about the situation in South Sudan, urging the government and the opposition to embrace peace to allow people to return to their houses and farm crops.
 
The Archbishop urged the church to continue taking leadership roles to ensure reaching peace through dialogue.
 
The Apostolic Nuncio to South Sudan Archbishop Charles Daniel Balvo disclosed a plan to visit Torit Catholic Diocese and other dioceses in the near future.
 
He is leaving to Nairobi on Thursday.
