Yei River County of Central Equatoria state is training head teachers and school administrators on cash management on Girl’s Education for South Sudan or GESS project.
County Secondary Inspector Emmanuel Sebit told Easter Radio that the project was funded by the national government in collaboration with the government of United Kingdom to encourage girls to complete their education.
He said the programme was also meant to help school acquire furniture and renovate of old buildings.
Otogo Payam Supervisor Ezibon Latiya who facilitated the training said the course was to enable managers to handle cash and how to control various account books.
Body of Governance Chairperson Edmond Taban Gogo described the training as educative because it would help head teachers, financial officers, BOG members to use money equitably and prioritize their activities in schools.
Mr Gogo warned that if plans were not prioritized concretely, money would be used inadequately and would not benefit the target groups.
