The minister recommended setting up a coordinating body at Melijo to document activities of all organizations, saying the state government was not even aware of some organizations’ activities.

Ma’di Corridor Chief administrative officer Emilio Igga stressed the need for NGOs to establish clusters with contact persons on the ground, discouraging beautiful plan on papers without implementation.

He told NGOs not to concentrate in a single area, but provide services to the entire corridor where IDPs are scattered and that all communities also deserve services.

The two leaders were talking to NGOs representatives on Friday at Nimule after the Wednesday’s visit to IDPs in Melijo.

About 17 NGOs reportedly operate in the area yet the IDPs complain of lack of services.
