428 students graduated from the colleges of Education, Economics and Social Studies and Public Health and Environmental Science.

The graduates received certificates in the absence of the University Administration, Voice of Hope reported.

Graduates’ representative Atek Lual Acuil said the Administration negotiated for change of the title of the celebration from a graduation ceremony to a farewell party.

An elder Dr Kual Pal encouraged students to continue struggling in life, describing graduation as crossing a river and swimming into the ocean and that a lot of task still lies ahead of the graduates.

Students’ Dean Stephen Gum said the University was blocked by the National Education Ministry not to entertain graduation ceremonies organized by students.
