A member of the delegation from St Joseph Parish who went to attend Uganda Martyrs celebration in Namugonggo said Kotido Catholic Diocese organized special vigil mass for peace in South Sudan.
Mary Lamunu Lino told Bakhita Radio Bishop Yosepe Philipe in prayers, urging South Sudanese to leave behind sinful sandals they were wearing to avoid bringing back trouble to the country.
She added that the bishop told masses that they were standing on holy land and that its blessing must reach all South Sudanese.
Ms Lamunu testified that before the mass, there were clouds all over, but disappeared when the holy mass started, opening a bright sun in the sky.
She said she saw the sign of cross and angels dancing in the sky and that everybody was very happy with the event.
The delegation to Uganda Martyrs celebration returned home on Saturday.
