Morobo County Traffic Police Director said good roads are claiming lives of citizens as drivers and riders’ over speed recklessly.

First lieutenant Andrew kenyi told Easter Radio that accidents were rampant in Morobo and that on June 7; an accident happened at Yaribe in Panyume Payam leaving one person dead.

He also cited another one on June 8 in Kedila road where a vehicle knocked a motorist killing a 60-year-old woman as the rider sustained leg fracture.

Mr Kenyi attributed accident increase to over speeding of people due to smooth and good roads making them register five cases daily in Morobo County.

He wondered on what to do, saying when government does not repair roads, citizens complain, but repairing roads is turning harmful.

Mr Kenyi said they were forced to make bumps on the roads to reduce rampart accidents in the county
