Sacred Heart Parish Priest in Tonj South County of Warrap State on Saturday said he was proud of his catechists and village teachers he was training to teach children in schools and catechumens in the parish.
Fr John Peter said the teachers and catechists were empowered to be active leaders in their centres to bring many people to faith and teach children in schools, Don Bosco Radio reported.
The Parish Priest said 55 catechists and teachers attended the week long training.
Fr Peter cited that long distances affect catechists and teachers’ activities especially those coming from Jack-Amel, Mayiel and Pala.
The Parish Priest revealed a plan to have another workshop for catechists and teachers in September.
He advised the participants to give the skills that they learned during their training to school children for their better future life.
