WHO donates 600,000 Dollars to Torit Hospital

World Health Organization or WHO donated six hundred thousand US Dollars for the construction of maternity ward at Torit Referral Hospital.
 
Eastern Equatoria Health Minister Margaret Itto on Thursday said the ward would have complex structure including theatre, antenatal and postnatal care services, Emmanuel Radio reported.
 
She added that WHO also proposed recruiting six qualified nurses as sources for expatriate specialists.
 
The Organization conducted the exercise to strengthen the hospital and improve service delivery.
 
The Health Minister revealed that ‘CORDAID’ organization also promised over two hundred thousand US Dollars to construct Nurse Training School at the hospital.
 
She explained that CORDAID would construct classrooms, tutors’ accommodation, a store and a library for the School.
