Relief, Rehabilitation Commission sends aid to states

South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission on Wednesday started sending humanitarian aid, donated by Chinese government for helping IDPs in various states.
 
The Commission Chairperson Kueth Kang Deng said they sent 11 trucks carrying non food items to Abyei, Turalei, Awerial, Nimule and Bor, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He said four trucks went to the airport to be airlifted to Malakal with more to be sent in the coming days.
 
The Chairperson said they were expecting barges to leave for Upper Nile state taking humanitarian aid to IDPs.
 
Chinese Economic and Commercial Counselor in Juba Zhang Yi appreciated the Commission for its effective and fast move to deliver the aid to conflict affected IDPs.
 
He expressed Chinese government’s commitment to continue supporting the government and people of South Sudan.
 
Last week Chinese government handed to SSRRC one thousand tents, mosquito nets and 300 sets of solar panels to be distributed to IDPs all over the country.
