Yei River Commissioner on Monday met Congolese community and discussed organization, encouraging agricultural activities and correcting their immoral conduct in the county.
Juma David Augustine said their meeting touched registration of Congolese community for each member to have a file in the office of their leadership in Yei, Easter Radio reported.
He said they also discussed Congolese engagement in agriculture and their encouragement to form cooperative societies to ease marketing of their products.
Commissioner David said the third their third topic dwelt on immoral misconduct of the Congolese community members which tarnishes the image of the county and community.
He said as neighbours, the county authorities have to tell the community to better resolve socio-economics and moral challenges to avoid bad image.
During the meeting, the community requested the Yei Local Government to provide equal immigration documents like other foreign communities in the state.
