A school to cater for former child soldiers has over 2000 pupils enroled, UNICEF said.
The school for child soldiers is located in Rumbek, Lakes State, since 2005.UNICEF head of communications, Christian Schneider, told the press today that many of the students are girls and at least 130 come from the armed forces.
Mr. Scheiner noted though that some young people were still associated with the armed forces although UNICEF and its partners were is committed to support child soldiers and reintegrate them into civilian life.
Mr. Scheiner praised the huge commitment of teachers and government to transform the former child soldiers into integrated civilians.
