Students at Mapuordit schools are warming up for a competition about the nations that play in the World Cup final phase.

Fr. Daniel Moschetti , the parish priest of Mapuordit, told SCR News through an e-mail that 1500 students from primary school and more than 200 from the secondary were busy looking into the encyclopaedia of the school library for information about the 32 countries present in South Africa for the 2010 World Cup.

The students are divided into 32 teams of five members each headed by a captain.

The teams face each other in a Question and Answers format of eliminations until the winner is found.

Each team chooses a nation and studies its history, geography, economy, traditions and much more.

And two teams of 12 teachers each representing the primary and secondary schools will confront themselves on South Africa and Nigeria!

The completion will take about thirty matches.
