Yei Mayoress warned all traders against unnecessary disposal of expired goods in the Municipality.
Cecilia Oba Tito told the press on Wednesday that traders mix expired commodities with garbage attracting locals especially young children to collect and eat them, thus affecting their health, Easter Radio reported.
She termed those committing such an act as ‘killers’, adding that it was intolerable because it would affect the future generation.
Ms Oba urged all traders to properly dispose or completely destroy expired products as they are absolutely dangerous to citizens’ lives.
The Mayoress also called on traders to desisting from selling expired goods to consumers.
