The SPLM said it would hold nine ministries in the next government of national unity, in addition to other state ministers, although negotiations are still under way.
SPLM Deputy Secretary General for the Northern sector, Yasir Arman, told the press in Khartoum that the two partners agreed on the main objectives of the next government.Mr. Arman said that the agreement could be summarized in three main points: the implementation of the remaining provisions of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, end of the Darfur crisis, and the democratic transformation of the country.
