Rumbek County Police Chief Inspector ordered robbers to quickly end their activities before hunting them down.
The order came after Akuac and Malual-bab residents after experiencing a two-week consecutive night looting at gunpoint complained to the police and others quitted their houses.
Chief Inspector Police Mayuom Gop Marial told Good News Radio that criminals would be held accountable for any other big crimes that would happen in the future.
Inspector Gop called upon parents to talk to their children involved in night robberies to quit because looting is a very dangerous job.
He said those involved in robbery and killing people at night are known by security units and that they would face justice if they are caught.
Residents in Rumbek suspected cattle keepers and some police personnel to be among those looting them at night
