National Legislative Assembly Minority Leader urged the government to quickly call for national consensus dialogue for stakeholders to address the root causes of the problems dividing people.
Onyoti Adigo Nyikwech told Bakhita Radio that after the two warring leaders signed the cessation of hostility on May 9; the next step is for the government to call for national dialogue.
He said the dialogue should bring together all stakeholders including the opposition to discuss possible solution to resolve recurring problems in the country.
MP Adigo said he already identified at least eight areas to be addressed to realize lasting peace in the country.
He explained that the areas include addressing the national unity, insecurity root causes, developing multiparty democracy, rule of law transformation, national economy development, organized forces transformation of, the civil servants sector and addressing the division of citizens.
The minority leader Adigo said after looking into all issues and putting them into agreement, and then the document would be used to guide the transitional government.
MP Adigo said the transitional government should immediately develop mechanism of encouraging peace and reconciliation among citizens.
He said the transitional government should hold accountable those involved in the killing of innocent lives.
