Yei traders yesterday elected a new leadership that will guide them for the next three years according to their Constitution.

The Yei Chamber of Commerce was formed in 2001 and Mike Wani Enosa was its chairman until yesterday, Easter Radio reported.

The new leadership includes chairperson Tito Ayambu, first vice-chairperson Lucy Cons Kolo, second vice- chairperson David Batali and third vice-chairperson Felix Sebit.

Lomude Nixon is the secretary-general and Bismark Abdallah the treasurer.

Mr. Ayambu told the traders that gathered at Freedom Square to elect the new leadership that they should love and respect each other, solve problems amicably, and promote unity and cooperation among themselves and the government.

Mike Wani Enosa, the outgoing chairman, in his speech encouraged the new cabinet to make use of the offices and avoid tribalism.

The elections kicked off with prayers at 11:00 AM and ended successfully at 3:00 PM.
