Tonj South Civil Hospital Health Officer in Warrap State on Friday received 60 bicycles for Tonj South, Tonj East and Tonj North Counties with 20 each.
Charles Malual said the bicycles would be given to Payam and Boma Health Community Workers to help carry the sick for treatment, Don Bosco Radio reported.
He added that the bicycles would be useful in places which are not accessible by cars.
Deputy Director for Guinea worm Yak Yak said they did not deliver bicycles to Tonj East County because of bad road condition.
He added that they were trying all means possible to deliver their bicycles.
The community health workers are required to mobilise communities for immunization and other health promotion programs.
