World Health Organization, WHO Representative in South Sudan said the organization recorded more malaria cases in Africa than any other continent.
Dr Abdi Aden Mohamed told journalists in Juba on Friday that in 2012, 80 percent of the estimated 207million malaria cases worldwide were in the African continent, Bakhita Radio reported.
He added that 90 percent of estimated 627 thousand global malaria deaths occurred in the continent in 2012.
Dr Mohamed said WHO works much more effective in developed countries than the impoverished one against malaria.
