The Apostolic Administrator of the Catholic Diocese of Torit said the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ on Easter is the hope of the suffering South Sudanese.
Monsignor Thomas Oliha said by dying Jesus Christ destroyed sin and death and that rising means restoration of life, Emmanuel Radio reported.
He appealed to the risen Lord to destroy hatred and revenge in the country and restore respect, love and solidarity.
Monsignor Oliha prays that the risen Lord Jesus Christ grants unity to South Sudanese.
He prays that God brings reconciliation, justice and peace to South Sudan and the entire World.
Monsignor Oliha cited need for reconciliation among communities in Eastern Equatoria State including the Didinga, the Toposa and Logir.
He also asked the risen Lord to reconcile the Toposa, the Buya, Otuho, Acholi and Ma’di communities.
