Youth’s Initiative for the country in Western Bahr el Ghazal State donated food and non food items including washing soap, sugar among others as part of encouragement to pregnant mothers and patients in Wau Teaching Hospital maternity ward.
Youth activist Malual Deng said that it was the responsibility of young people to help the needy, Voice of Hope reported.
Mr. Deng acknowledged that the donation was the first of its kind and that the Youth Initiative would continue supporting mothers and children.
Wau Teaching Hospital Director Dr Bakiet Mawien Upor appreciated the move taken by the youths in supporting women encouraging them to continue with the same spirit for unity of the nation.
Youth’s Initiative for the country was established after mid December Crisis in 2013.
