The head of the Catholic Church in South Sudan said a possible secession from the north in the 2011 Referendum will not affect the administration of the Sudan Catholic Bishops Conference (SCBC).
Archbishop Paulino Lokudu Loro of Juba said the administration of the Catholic Church in the Sudan is one and will remain one even if the south becomes.
Archbishop Lokudu explained that the SCBC has no mandate to divide the conference into two.
Archbishop Lokudu revealed that it is up to the Vatican to decide whether to divide the SCBC or not if the South becomes independent.
The Archbishop made this statement at the workshop of Caritas International in Juba.
