Nuba Mountains’ region civil administration of South Kordofan in Sudan blamed international community including the African Union, AU High Level Implementation Panel for failing to prevent humanitarian crisis in the state.
Regional Press Secretary Chatigo Amoja Delman told Voice of Peace on Tuesday that children in the SPLM-North controlled areas did not access vaccination since the outbreak of war in June 2011.
He added that the international community failed to pressurize Khartoum to provide access to medication and food to some 1200 million civilians in the Nuba Mountains.
Mr Amoja said health condition continues to deteriorate in the region.
He accused Sudanese President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir for committing genocide in South Kordofan through aerial and ground militia attacks.
The Press Secretary revealed that thousands of civilians in Rashad County were forced to flee their homes.
Mr Amoja added that Khartoum destroyed farmlands in Rashad and forced them to move away.
He said Rashad land was occupied by foreigner settlers after the displacement of natives by the regime.
