UBG Vice Chancellor puts library , staff welfare top priorities

The New appointed Vice Chancellor of the University of Bahr el Ghazal said he put library and staff welfare as his top priorities.
 
Samson S Wasara assumed office on Sunday morning welcomed by students’ cheers.
 
He said he would address staff welfare challenges and ensure that the university’s library is well stocked as a basic learning necessity for any institution of higher learning.
 
Dr Wasara said he would restructure the University administration rating old staffs as instrumental to enable him pick up from his predecessor.
 
Former Vice Chancellor Timothy Tilar Dhol called on the new administration to focus on teaching staff, especially for the college of Medicine and Veterinary science facing many challenges.
 
He reminded the new administration to maintain the legacy of the university.
 
Students at the University of Bahr el Ghazal presented their Union’s demand including regular academic calendar.
 
Most staff expressed worries for their positions as the new administrative structure might not work in their favour.
