Government spokesperson urged the United States Administration to slow down what he termed ‘hasty sanctions’ decisions against South Sudanese individuals and entities obstructing peace process.
Michael Makuei Lueth described the decision as the most unfortunate and hasty one; a US President had ever taken in modern history.
He questioned the mechanism President Barrack Obama used to determine the individuals and entities obstructing peace process in South Sudan.
Mr Makuei added that quick decisions may lead President Obama to difficulties in future.
He argued that most cabinet members do not have assets in United States of America and even in South Sudan.
The spokesperson belittled US support to South Sudan in form of Nimule-Juba road, describing it a ‘sub-standard road, equivalent to a city lane’.
Mr Makuei said most government officials travel within Africa so the travel ban and others would not affect the government except opposition forces.
