Loreto Girls Secondary School after leading South Sudan in the 2013 Certificate results is preparing to celebrate its best performance in the country’s first exams.
Loreto Deputy Principal Kiare Nelson Mutula told Good News Radio on Thursday that the school was overjoyed by the news of being the best in the country.
He said it will celebrate the success of the girls and efforts of teachers and parents after receiving detailed results of the 22 candidates.
One of the candidates Priscilla Awau said they did not expect to top the whole country but were confident of performing better.
Ms Awau who chose to teach Loreto Girls Primary wing after her exams said their parents were excited and surprised by the results.
She wished the excellent performance encouraged parents to take education of their daughters serious.
National Education Deputy Minister Bol Makueng on Wednesday declared Loreto Girls’ Secondary School in Rumbek, Lakes State, number one of the top five secondary schools in 2013 South Sudan National Exams after scoring 78.3 percent
