National Election Commission Chief Officer urged political parties to use the media in disseminating elections information to masses.
In a consultative meeting on Wednesday with political party representatives in Torit, Mac Maika Deng acknowledged the role of the media in disseminating information, Emmanuel Radio reported.
He added that the media reach a larger population with information due to its scope, calling for civic education through the media to cover all grassroots citizens.
Mr Deng said political parties can pass accurate, balanced, impartial and faster information on elections to citizens through the media.
He appealed to media outlets to give equal opportunities to all political parties to share their views with citizens.
The Chief Electoral Officer was talking during a consultative meeting in Torit.
