Australian-South Sudanese urged the national government to work hard to achieve peace so that they would implement plans of rebuilding the nation.

Kajo-Keji Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan or ECSSS Bishop Anthony Poggo Dangasuk told CRN on Tuesday in a telephone interview upon return from Australia that Australian-South Sudanese would like the government and people to return the country to peace to pave way for reconstruction.

He explained that South Sudanese in Australia remain patriotic and mindful of home especially elders who are planning to visit or return to contribute in nation building.

Bishop Poggo said he had a fruitful 30 days’ visit, full of encouragement in many Australian cities including Melbourne.

He added that his visit was to encourage South Sudanese in Diaspora to think about home and work for peace and reconciliation.

The bishop appreciated support of different churches including the Catholic, Presbyterians and Anglicans for South Sudanese in Australia.

Bishop Poggo also appreciated Kajo-Keji Diocese for praying for his successful trip outside the continent.
