Yei Payam Director urged UNMIS to continue constructing bridges, empowering police and purchasing machines to promote development in the town.
Santino Batali made the appeal this afternoon while addressing the crowd during the celebration of International UN Peacekeepers Day.Mr. Batali urged the UNIMIS to help in the areas of health and sanitation.
The Yei Payam Director thanked UNMIS for their involvement in cleaning Yei this week and for he training of police.
The commemoration started with a football match played between UNMIS and Peace Club. The peacekeepers won one nil.
Many people attended the celebration including the Yei County Deputy Executive Director, UNMIS Civil Affairs Officer and some German Air Force observers.
