CENTRAL EQUATORIA GOVERNOR TO WORK FOR PROSPEROUS STATE

The elected governor of Central Equatoria vowed in his inauguration speech to work for a peaceful, just and prosperous state.

Clement Wani Konga was sworn in today in Juba as the elecetd Governor of Central Equatoria.

Mr. Konga told the audience at the ceremony that he would keep the promises to work for a strong, peaceful, just and prosperous Central Equatoria he made during his election campaign.

He promised to work with the people to fulfil the social and political aspirations of the state.

Mr. Konga pledged to work for good governance with peace, security and the rule of law in the order of the day.

Mr. Konga reiterated his commitment to enhance equitable provision of services like roads, health facilities, education and clean water across the state.

Mr. Konga vowed to strengthen education through employment of quality teachers and provision for their needs with a regular salary.

The governor promised zero tolerance for corruption.

Mr. Konga urged citizens to register and vote wisely during the referendum and avoid mistakes of the past.
