Morobo farmers complained to NGOs and the government that they lack loans to boost their agricultural activities to make their County one of the food suppliers in Central Equatoria and South Sudan.

Kaliko Farmers Association chairman Ambrose Akim cited lack of money as a big challenge to serve their clients and accomplish planned activities, Morobo Radio reported.

He said their Association has a store that keeps 500 tons of food to be sold to the World Food Programme.

Semerita Ajonye, a mother of nine children, said there was limited money to boost their work.

Commercial farming in Morobo County is becoming one of the initiatives the Association and individual farmers adopted to earn their living and boost their economy instead of the subsistence one.
