Poor garbage management in Eastern Equatoria raised concerns of Ikwoto County Member of Parliament.
MP Ben Loky moved a motion in the Assembly about littering and uncontrolled waste disposals, Emmanuel Radio reported.
The state Assembly Acting speaker Paul Napwon supported the pending motion, calling for control of waste disposal in towns.
He said the situation would worsen when the garbage was left unattended to.
The speaker said the state Assembly made resolutions on environment matters, but not implemented.
He urged the government and the Mayor to ensure implementation of the Assembly resolutions.
The Acting Speaker called for formation of a committee to follow up their concerns.
