Health ministry to establish diagnostic facilities, TB centres

National Health Ministry’s Undersecretary said the government plans to establish adequate diagnostic facilities and tuberculosis or TB treatment centres all over the country to combat the disease.
 
Makur Matur Kariom told CRN on Monday marking World TB Day that his ministry was fully engaged in many projects to manage TB diagnosis and treatment.
 
He said the number of TB patients and their situation in South Sudan remain a big concern as it is compounded with HIV AIDS infection.
 
Dr Matur recognized the role of development partners in the fight against tuberculosis in the country.
 
The Undersecretary made the statement after meeting health ministers and directors from the ten states to find a way forward to fix health plights in the country.
