Commissioners of Mvolo in Western Equatoria, Wulu and Rumbek East in Lake State on Wednesday resolved to deploy forces to guard cattle raids at the borders.
Wulu County Commissioner Benjamin Akol, Rumbek East William Adom Mading and that of Mvolo Justin Abdulahi Yona agreed to legalize cattle movement in consultation with the counties concerned, Anisa Radio reported.
They agreed that all cattle keepers camped along the River in Mvolo should return to their respective counties.
The Commissioners also resolved that the government should deploy troops to the borders to monitor the implementation and minimise criminal activities.
They agreed to meet regularly to address common problems affecting them.
Mvolo Press Secretary Peter Bede said the meeting was a continuation of the peace conference held last year in Yirol West County.
He added that Mvolo and Wulu Commissioners blamed Rumbek East and Yirol West cattle keepers for crossing the boundaries with cattle and firearms causing major insecurity in the two counties.
