Malakal Catholic Diocesan Justice and Peace Program Coordinator urged the warring parties to put the interest of the people first before their personal interests because war worsens the situation countrywide.
Jokino Othong lamented that the ongoing conflict was not in the interest of anybody because South Sudanese do not want to go for war anymore.
He urged the warring parties to compromise to realize peace.
Mr Othong appealed to humanitarian non-governmental organizations or NGOs to intervene to rescue lives in dire need.
He expressed concerns on IDPs situation in different camps questioning their condition as the rainy season intensifies.
Mr Othong made the statement on Monday in an exclusive interview with CRN, demanding for immediate peace in the country.
