Senior One classes in Yei River County were on Wednesday temporarily suspended until Primary eight results are out.

County Education Director Philip Taban said the suspension came after a joint supervision between education and state officials from March 4 to 14, Easter Radio reported.

He said despite the early information to head teachers on temporary suspension, seven schools were illegitimately teaching senior one class.

The director urged students and teachers to wait for the results so that students could be admitted in accordance with academic requirements.

He warned head teachers violating the order would face the law

Mr Taban said registration of pupils should be done with an acceptance form from the ministry.

The director said the suspension was effective from March 19 until the results are delivered to the county.
