The National Health ministry in collaboration with partners will on Tuesday conduct strategic planning for malaria control and eradication.
Health Undersecretary Makur Matur Koryom described the exercise as the most important project over the next few years as malaria pose serious health hazards in the country, Bakhita Radio reported.
Dr Matur said more than 50 percent beds in all hospitals in South Sudan were occupied by malaria patients.
Dr Matur said they plan to adopt an indoor residual spraying system to minimize malaria in the country.
He said the exercise proved successful in many countries replacing the use of mosquito’s nets as another means.
The four days’ plan project would bring together 30 participants from all states.
