Caritas Switzerland and Luxembourg on Saturday handed over an Agricultural Training Centre at Isohe to the Catholic Diocese of Torit.
Caritas Country Representative Kenyi Kilombe said the Agriculture, Knowledge and Improved Livelihood Training facility or AKIL Centre that is funded by European Union, would build capacity for long term food security in Eastern Equatoria state, Emmanuel Radio reported.
He encouraged the community to take advantage of the facility to get skills on agriculture and improve food production and increase nutrition.
Torit Catholic Diocesan Apostolic Administrator Monsignor Thomas Oliha appreciated development partners for the work done.
He assured the state Agriculture ministry and other stakeholders of entrusting the facility to the organization.
Monsignor Oliha said the Diocese would ensure activities and policies were agreed upon by the stakeholders before implementation.
