Yei Catholic Bishop on Sunday urged Christians to pray in faith in order to end the political crisis ongoing in the country.

Bishop Erkulano Lodu Tombe said Christians need to connect the Lent season with the country’s crisis through concentrated prayers and work, Easter Radio reported.

He said if Christians committed themselves in faithful prayers, the true peace would be realized and citizens would enjoy fruits of independence.

The Catholic prelate urged Christians to spiritually support the IGAD member countries’ peace talks in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Bishop Lodu also prayed to God to cool the heat of revenge and anger in the hearts and minds of some citizens to avoid destructions.

The Catholic bishop made the remarks in his homily while presiding over English Eucharistic celebration on Sunday in Yei.
