Tonj Mayor urges people to reduce prices

Tonj South Mayor in Warrap State on Friday urged the entire community and traders to reduce prices of bundles of grass, bamboos and poles.
 
Marko Mabior Ajiec said one bundle of grass must reduce from 25 to 15, bamboos from three to one and a half Pounds and short poles from ten to five South Sudan Pounds in the market, Don Bosco Radio reported.
 
He discouraged selling local commodities at high prices to citizens in town.
 
Mr Ajiec urged the entire community to report to the office people and traders selling commodities at high price.
 
He stated that police will hunt violators and jail them for three months.
 
Mr Ajiec advised grass, bamboos and short poles’ sellers to respect the law and regulations.
