CEPO to train more paralegals next month

Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO disclosed a plan to train more paralegals in Western Bahr El Ghazal to assist communities with legal advice.
 
Talking during the closing session of a three-day workshop of paralegals in Wau on Wednesday, CEPO Director Edmond Yakani said the training aims to reduce crimes for people to adhere to legal procedures, Voice of Hope reported.
 
He said that they would train people on legal aid in collaboration with state government.
 
Mr Yakani expressed concern for the public to be aware of law for justice to prevail.
 
He attributed more crimes to people’s ignorance of laws.
 
The Director called on the government to join hand with CEPO to bring positive change to local communities.
 
Mr Yakani promised that CEPO will join hands with the state government to train people on the rule of law and legal aid.
