Western Equatoria Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Directorate of Roads and Bridges is currently rehabilitating some roads in Yambio town.
Roads and Bridges Deputy Director Joseph Khamal said Governor Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro initiated the programme, Anisa Radio reported.
He explained that they worked on Masia-State Secretariat road, Masia-Mamenze and Mamenze-Yambio County headquarters road via Nakpangau Primary School.
Engineers Khamal added that they will continue from the County Police Station to the State House and 600 meters to the Local Government office.
He said Governor Bakosoro pledged three barrels of fuel, Yambio Commissioner Kuzee John Elias, four barrels of diesel and Local Government Minister Daniel Ezibon pledged one barrel of diesel for the work on roads.
Engineer Khamal disclosed a plan to open all roads in the demarcated areas within Yambio and other counties in the state.
He cited lack of resources as the major challenge.
