Western Bahr El Ghazal Governor threatened to close the State Legislative Assembly after its members refused the Finance Minister to resume her work as recommended by the Crisis Management Committee in Juba.
Governor Rizik Zachariah Hassan asked assembly administration to dissolved committees following amendment on Business Code of Conduct, Voice of Hope reported.
He said that all decisions made by those committees after amendment were illegal, urging MPs to accept report of presidential committee or he closes the assembly.
The Governor explained that presidential committee headed by national Cabinet minister Martin Elia Lomurö recommended the Finance Minister to resume her work because impeachment procedures were not correct.
The Assembly Speaker Andrea Mayor Acho strongly insisted that the House would never reverse its decision.
He added that the assembly will study the documented reply for the Governor’s request on impeachment withdrawal.
The disagreement came when the House requested Governor Rizik Zachariah to enlighten MPs on current political situation in the state.
