Yei County Civil Society Organization Forum vice chairperson on Thursday urged the Interior Ministry and the Local Government to control illegal road blocks.
Mawa George Lazarus told Easter Radio that they were stopped six times on their way to Yei from Uganda and travellers were harassed at check points.
He expressed discontent, urging the government to take immediate action to stop the many illegal road blocks.
The vice chairperson admitted that some road blocks were legally recognized, but illegal ones should be avoided.
He lamented that travellers were always stop in all road blocks and disturbed to produce documents.
Mr George called on Morobo and Yei Local Governments to stop illegal road blocks.
