Wau Catholic Diocese Family Coordinator called on Christians to prepare themselves by praying hard and forgiving one another during Lent period.
Andrew Garang Kolong who was talking during a one-day recollection of 78 families on Saturday at PALICA Centre said Lent season is a period where Christians pray, reconcile, forgive one another and strengthen their faith in Christ, Voice of Hope reported.
Mr Garang explained that Lent season is the period of forty days fasting as Christians share the suffering of the Lord which is beyond abstaining from food, but coming back to God.
The Coordinator advised all parents to resolve problems peacefully through dialogue and avoid quarrel, calling on all Christians to be instruments of peace and reconciliation in South Sudan.
The prayer brought together parents from St Joseph, St Daniel, Holy Family and St Mary Parishes.
