A group of South Sudan Women Leaders for Peace is visiting New York on Saturday to participate on Global Peace Builders conference.

Rosa Bol Weet, one of the group members going to New York, told CRN that they will present how far women have gone in South Sudan.

She added that Global Peace Builders’ activities are expected to run for two weeks.

Ms Bol expressed worries about the ongoing conflict in the country and the random shooting that cause citizens to panic in Juba.

She urged the warring parties to stop the shooting and discuss their differences through dialogue.

Ms Bol said women, children and the elderly people become victims because they are powerless and cannot protect themselves.

She urged warring political leaders to end bloodshed and embrace peace in South Sudan.
