Imam hails Christians, Muslims quest for peace

Yei Mosque Imam hailed Christians and Muslims in their joint quest for peace through prayer.
 
Barjo Adam Jada told Easter Radio on Thursday after prayers that he was pleased to pray together with Christians for peace.
 
He said God is peace and through concentrated prayer, he will stop the war in South Sudan and give his people peace.
 
The Imam expressed happiness for religious coexistence between Christians and Muslims without discrimination in Yei.
 
He discouraged war that killed many people and called on leaders to resort to dialogue and reach peace.
 
South Sudan and Sudan Council of Churches Peace and Reconciliation chairperson in Yei Richard Ali Soro commended the Muslim community cooperation with Christians in seeking for peace.
 
He told the congregation that it was difficult for Muslims and Christians to come together in some countries, but easy in South Sudan.
 
The leaders spoke on Thursday at Christ the King Cathedral during the prayer for peace organized by Yei Inter-Church Committee Women Group.
